about

Monday Social welcomes Spanish producer Oscar Mula back to the line-up for his debut label release. Based in Palma de Mallorca, Oscar made his Monday Social debut just over a year ago with a contribution to the label's popular 'Floorplay' Vol. 1 collection. As a highlight of the release, 'Garden Lodge' showcased Oscar's penchant for crafting floor burning tech-house grooves with exotic percussive arrangements. Also laying claim to releases courtesy of long-standing Spanish imprints Beatfreak Recordings, Stereo Productions and NOEXCUSES, Oscar now returns to Monday Social Music with 'Come Together Dancin' ft. DNCN, alongside remixes from David Herrero and Joyce (ARG).

Working together for the first time, Oscar pairs with renowned vocalist Duncan Jones aka DNCN to create the spirited grooves of 'Come Together Dancin'. Having worked with electronic luminaries such as Maceo Plex and Riva Starr, the UK vocalist also provided the chops for Freddy Be and Savi's Monday Social summer hit 'Tihkal', and the 2018 release of 'Habitual', which landed alongside a massive remix from Gorge via the UK's 'Under No Illusion'. Seductive and rhythmic in equal measure, DNCN's smoky vocals blanket Oscar's swing heavy grooves and clever percussive arrangements as 'Come Together Dancin' takes shape. Striking effects and an unrelenting pulse make for a lively break, whereby the vocal narrative expands to hip swinging effect, perfectly setting the stage for a rush of beats and drums to usher in a jubilant finale. Accompanying the original mix is a second club version by Oscar written with the nightlife of his homeland in mind, Oscar stays true to the energy of the original, while adding rhythmic depth through exotic drum elements and dynamic stabs which create a greater sense of space overall.

Making his label debut and providing the first interpretation of 'Come Together Dancin' is David Herrero. With a career that spans over a decade, the Spanish artist has achieved measurable success, showcasing his deep tribal grooves via Defected, Saved Records, Stereo Productions and Under No Illusion, while also earning the praise of Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Nic Fanciulli and Richie Hawtin. Having remixed Freddy Be and Savi's aforementioned 2018 hit 'Habitual' ft. DNCN, David now makes his Monday Social debut with a rousing rendition of Oscar Mula's 'Come Together Dancin'. Taking straight aim at the dance floor, David reshapes the groove into a romping main room delight, as layers of percussion and driving chord stabs build momentum across the first act. Reprocessed and edited for maximum sensory effect, the vocal narrative charms with each successive pass, as looping fragments play off gyrating drums and dazzling effects for an exhilarating apex.

The second and final interpretation of 'Come Together Dancin' is provided by Joyce who also makes his Monday Social Music debut. Although early into his journey as a producer, Buenos Aires native Pablo Nader aka Joyce has quickly found a place in the creative space between house and techno. His groove-centric creations carry a distinctive dance floor lean and have already found a home on Natura Viva and Serrano's Kitchen. Now adding Monday Social Music to his resume, Joyce debuts on the label with an excellent rendition of 'Come Together Dancin'. A touch deeper than its predecessors, the Argentinean artist carves out an intriguing take, featuring a shapelier groove, lighter drum elements and wavy rhythmic themes, the latter of which ultimately help drive the track towards a buzzing climax following a goosebump worthy break.
